Comparison testing, also known as parallel testing, involves running the same tests on two versions of an application (e.g., the current version and a new version) to compare their performance, accuracy, and outputs. This testing method is particularly useful when migrating to a new system or upgrading a significant feature. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how we conduct comparison testing:
- Define Test Objectives and Scope: We start by outlining the goals of comparison testing, such as ensuring data accuracy, validating feature consistency, or benchmarking performance between versions. Establishing these objectives helps us focus on key areas for comparison.
